Matt is originally from Tucson, Arizona and after his tour in the Navy, he moved to Hawaii. Matt's first project in Hawaii was the opening of the Coffee Gallery in 1988. Since its opening, the Coffee Gallery has grown to be one of Haleiwa's favorite gathering places. Matt's experience with the people of Hawaii was so wonderful, that after he sold his interest in the Coffee Gallery, he decided to make Hawaii his permanent home.

 

 

Matt and Tricia were married on July 16, 1994 at the Ihilani Hotel located at the Ko Olina Resort. Tricia was born and raised in Hawaii and is a mathematics teacher at her alma mater, Pearl City High School. Matt and Tricia enjoy spending their family time at the beach with their daughter Samantha and her best friend, Lucy the doggie.

Football season provides a unique opportunity for Matt as he is a Division 1, collage football official. If you look closely when watching televised games you may find Matt working hard on the sidelines keeping the game in order.
